Another visit to the Zoo

We went to the zoo last week with Gramps & had a great time. It seems like every time I go to the zoo here lately I go to a part I haven't been to before or at least since I was a kid. Katelyn really liked feeding the birds & especially liked it when one pooped on my foot! She had been wanting to go to the zoo for a while now to see the Llama ( I don't know why) & she had nothing to do with it. She is terrified of the Gorilla & lions & would cover her face when we would get close to them, she remembered from last time. We have really enjoyed spending time with Gramps on his off days & I'm so glad we get to make these memories with him.

Getting a little practice

Yesterday we visited my friend Amy & her new baby Harper. Katelyn was so excited to meet Harper & couldn't wait to hold her & she actually held her twice! She was so sweet with her & kept giving her kisses. I can already tell she is going to be a great big sister & very helpful with the new baby, I can't wait to see her with her little brother!

Playing outside with Daddy

We played outside last weekend with daddy, he has been working so much lately this is something we haven't gotten to do much since the weather has been nice. Katelyn had so much fun playing with her bubbles, Brad would blow them & she would run around popping them.

Playing with Braelyn

We went to Dana's house last week so Katie & Braelyn could play together one last day before Dana went back to work. They have so much fun together & I have really enjoyed spending time with Dana while she was on maternity leave. Hopefully Braelyn will be in Katie's MDO class in the fall & they can play with each other every week.

Easter Pictures

We went to to Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago for long over due pictures of Katelyn. I haven't taken any pictures in months, especially since I have been pregnant so it was nice to get out & take some of her. She did good considering she isn't looking at me in any of the pictures. I have to thank my dad for going with us & helping keep her occupied & of course that is who she is looking at in most of the pictures. I'm just glad I finally have some pictures to hang in my house, the most recent ones of her I have now are from the beach last summer.

Me & my little girl

Who knew one year ago we would be back in the same spot & in the same month. I love this little girl so much she is everything to me, she says the funniest things all of the time & acts so silly! She is the sweetest little person & always gives me hugs & kisses, I cannot imagine my life without her & I am so thankful I get to spend everyday with her. We have both made a lot of changes since last year & if you would have asked me last year if I thought I would be having another baby I would have said NO! I am very excited to be adding to our family & the thought of a little boy is exciting & scary for me at the same time. I don't know what to do with a little boy, but I am ready for the challange of having one of each. I can already tell Katelyn is going to be a great big sister & we already love him so much! Maybe I will have to have my picture made in the same spot next year with both of my babies!

Baby Brother

My scanner is finally working so I thought I would share pictures of our baby boy, who is still nameless! I am almost 22 weeks now & he has been very active this last week. I can see my stomach move now & Brad has felt him move a few times. Katelyn is too busy to sit there long enough to feel him, but I'm sure she will feel him plenty in the upcoming months. She is so cute now when she says things about mommy, daddy, & Katie she includes baby brother too. This pregnancy seems to be flying by & I can't believe we are going to meet our baby boy in just a few short months. Well, I'm sure they will be long & HOT months to me, being pregnant in the summer is definitely going to be different than having a January baby!

Easter 2010

We started our day out at my grandmothers & had so much good food to eat! Katelyn hunted eggs with all of the other grand children & found several eggs with candy & money in them. She loved all of her eggs she found & eating the candy of course. After that we headed to Mimi & Papa's house to visit. The Easter bunny made a stop by their house & also Amanda's house so she had more goodies to go through there. We had a great day spending time with our families & enjoying the beautiful weather.

A visit from the Easter bunny

The Easter bunny brought Katelyn a lot of goodies in her basket this year. Her favorite & one of the only things she asked for was a Dora fishing pole. She was so excited to see that in her basked & it was the only thing she wanted to play with. She enjoyed playing with Aiden & Austin's at the lake a few weeks ago, now she can go fishing with her daddy in the afternoon when her daddy gets home from work. The Easter bunny also brought games, coloring books, candy & some new pajamas. We had a great Easter & each holiday is more fun the older she gets.

Bubble beard

Here is our silly little girl in the bath, she loves to make beards out of bubbles so she can look like her daddy.

Disney Live

Katelyn, Amanda, & I went to Disney Live last Sunday & watched a great show! Brad had to work out of town so he couldn't make it & Amanda went in his place. Katelyn was so excited to see Mickey & she jumped up & down & screamed "Mickey" over & over again.
She was ready to go at intermission & I kept telling her Mickey was coming back, she finally climbed up in my lap & fell asleep. That was not like her at all & she had just been bouncing off the walls a few minutes before. I thought she was just worn out from staying at Gramps' house the night before. I noticed she felt a little warm, turns out she had a fever of nearly 102! She ran a fever for the next 5 days on & off & it turned out to be some kind of viral infection, her fever finally broke on Thursday, followed by a rash for two days. I'm so glad she was better by Easter!
